I shouldn't be alive!!

Or as my sister likes to call it- I should really be dead.

It scares the shit outta me. Therefore I am expecting that I wont be needing to go to the little boys room for the next 24 hours.

Anyway, I'm watching the Zambizie River episode.

I hate crocodiles.

The end.

So wow! I have completely forgotten about this blog. I was probably caught up in the whole Myspace/Facebook craze. Effects of this craze includes lack of acknowledgement towards accounts that are not related to Myspace and/or Facebook.

Ok, I just read my previous post and I have to say, I am not impressed. I also don't quite remember writing/typing it up. Hmmm... eight wonder of the world, I say.

LESBIAN/BISEXUAL WOMEN AND MUSIC

From Melissa Etheridge to K.D Lang to The Murmurs and Finding Stellar. It seems the lesbian community has finally grasped the notion of music and lyrics and the beauty of having women straddled with guitars.

In honesty, the ONLY contemporary lesbian artist I knew of prior to 2006 was Melissa Etheridge, K.D Lang and one of my favourites- Tegan and Sara (emphasize the word 'AND' denoting that BOTH are equally queer).

Those previously mentioned are the ones I personally credit as the spearheads, the head of spears of lesbian music icons. But if you look closer.. and closer and.. no, not that close.. ok, fine, hit your head on the screen. As I was saying, if you squint and look deeper into the lesbian music industry, there are even more great bands/singers to be discovered! Such as The Murmurs (consisting of Leisha Hailey from the 'L word'), Finding Stellar (lesbian front woman and drummer), Otep (queer front woman), Bif Naked and so much more that have yet to reach my conscious thought.

Oh, and there is also the scissor sisters! None of them are lesbians but its just a great lesbian sex position. Why am I talking about this? because sex and music interweave. Haven't you heard of the phrase "Sex, drugs and rock n roll!"? In the lesbian world it is simply "sex and rock n roll"... because drugs can represent birth control pills... which is not an item a lesbian would like to be caught in her possession. Complicated issues will be confronted like... "who did you have dirty heterosexual sex with?". In which case you would have to explain the entire ordeal of getting so drunk off your face that you mistakenly had sex with a man and thought his penis was a protruding 6 inch clitoris.

(pause)... aaaaaaaaaand.....(pause)

In conclusion: The women's music industry (regardless of sexual orientation) is clearly on the up and up. Teenager's are also having sex at a younger age!. This observation has nothing to do with the subject... but isn't it saying something about our society?!

Opinions and thoughts are most welcome. If I don't like what you have to say I will just close my eyes and sing "I am too sexy for my shirt". No, seriously... feel free to voice yourself. I appreciate honest comments.
